16 Days to “A Magical Frontier” | Designer Reveal – Capturing Magical Memories

16 day’s to go! Today we are revealing our second contributor to “A Magical Frontier” – Mary of Capturing Magical Memories! So let’s get to know Mary a little better, and make sure you read all the way to the end to see her freebie sneak peek:

Hi.  My name is Mary and I am a mom of 3 boys that keep me on my toes.  In addition to a full time job I also like to design, take photos, blog, craft, etc.  In addition to Capturing Magical Memories I also co-own the Blogorail, a Disney travel site.   As you can see I keep myself busy.

Q. What about designing do you enjoy the most?
Learning something new.  When I began to design it was using pre-made elements from other designers and recoloring them in Photoshop elements.  Today I am using Photoshop illustrator and drawing many of my own elements.  My favorite part is heading to google to learn a new technique  because I want an element to look a certain way.  On this kit it is the train card.  I learned so much there!

Q. How did you discover Digital Scrapbooking?
Lol!  I have to admit I came to scrapbooking kicking and screaming.  I was a traditional scrapbooker and there was no way I was going to use a computer to make my albums. Then I got talked into being a beta tester for Creative Memories when they delved into digital design.  I got hooked and have never looked back.  Seems I lasted longer than Creative Memories. 😉

Q. Who is your favourite character?
My favorite movie characters are always the supporting sidekicks.  Right now I am a big fan of Maximus from Tangled.  He has the right amount of sarcasm and wit.  Which is something to say for a horse that does not talk. In the park it is a different scene.  I am a sucker for Donald Duck.  I have been know a time or two to have slightly nudged Daisy out of photos so I could have Donald all to myself.

Q. Do you have a favourite parade or firework show? If so why?
Wishes! I am a sucker for it and will tear up everytime.  I think it is nostalgic and romantic.
